How the GH Scaffold System Works

We look at the structure, the ground, the work that has to be reached and the way the site is operating.

The inspection establishes what access the job actually needs, before any material is ordered.

The access is designed around the structure: working loads, leg loads, tie positions and the configuration of the lifts.

The material list is drawn from the design, so quantities match the work rather than a round figure.

Scaffolding components, pipes and tubes and formwork are supplied from stock, for hire or for purchase.

Deliveries are phased to the programme so that material does not sit on site longer than it is needed.

Trained teams erect the scaffold to the agreed design, with supervision during the work.

Handover is carried out before the working platforms are used by other trades.

The scaffold is inspected and adjusted while it is in use, as the work front moves or the requirement changes.

Dismantling and collection are planned so that the access comes down as the work finishes rather than being left standing.
